I. Overview of Docker

Docker is an open source application container engine that allows developers to package their applications and dependencies into a portable container, then publish them to any popular Linux or Windows machine, or virtualize them. Containers are completely sandboxed and do not have any interface to each other.

A complete Docker consists of the following parts:

DockerClient client

Docker Daemon daemon

Docker Image Mirror

DockerContainer container

Second, comparison with virtual machine

Third, Docker core concept image (Image): similar to virtual machine image container (Container): similar to linux system environment, running and isolating applications. When the container starts from the image, docker creates a writeable layer at the top of the image, and the image itself is read-only and remains the same. Repository: each warehouse stores a certain type of image.

IV. Basic deployment of Docker

1. Install the environment package

3. Accelerate the download of images
