Scene description

In daily work, many users will put commonly used shortcuts on the computer desktop or fixed on the taskbar, when they want to access less commonly used programs, they often have to search manually, which will be very inconvenient.

We can create an Applications folder on the computer desktop in advance, and then put all the company's regular application shortcuts in this folder. Any user who logs in to the computer can see an Applications folder on the desktop. Just look for it here when you need it.

Solution

We know that when a user logs in to the computer for the first time, the user's profile will be generated automatically with reference to the system's default user profile (Profile), so we create a new Applications folder under the desktop folder of the system's default user profile (Profile), and then put all the regular application shortcuts into it.

Operation steps

Here, take Win10 as an example, go to the system default user profile (Profile) C:\ Users\ Public. The default desktop template Public Desktop is hidden. I click View in the folder options above and select Hidden items to display the desktop template folder.

Create a new Applications folder under the desktop template Public Desktop folder:

Then put all the shortcuts for the regular application into the Applications folder:

After logging in with Lander Zhang users, you can see an extra Applications folder on the desktop. Double-click to enter and you can see all the application shortcuts. For subsequent use, you only need to find it in this folder, which is very convenient:

Expansion

Of course, it is too inefficient for each computer to do this manually, in the actual enterprise, you can do it in advance in the template computer, so that there will be an Applications folder automatically when you install the new system, or you can batch distribute it to each domain computer through group policy after you manually create a new Applications.
