Note: the customer mail system is deployed in the hyper-v virtual machine, and one day the D disk in which the virtual machine stores the database is inexplicably lost and cannot be recovered. DPM is used to back up the database regularly.

Below, start preparing the environment:

Reset the demo-MAIL computer account in the active Directory

Changing the disaster recovery server IP address is the same as the old mail server IP

Changing the disaster recovery server computer name is the same as the old mail system

Disaster recovery server joins the domain

Install necessary plug-ins and patches (these plug-ins are already hard to find and spend most of their recovery time looking for plug-ins)

Screenshots of other patch installations are skimmed.

Add disk, partition drive letter is the same as the old mail server, partition capacity is greater than or equal to the original partition capacity

Install the IIS service

Since the old version of the mail system is exchange2007sp3, the exchange2007sp3.exe installation package is used here for disaster recovery.

Double-click to extract to the directory

Cmd go to the decompression directory and run setup.com / M:RecoverServer

Prompt need to install installer4.5 corresponding URL download

Run setup.com / M:RecoverServer again

There are still some patches to install

After the preparation is completed, you can start the recovery.
