After the data source is added, the layer will be published. Geoserver will automatically scan the layer of the selected data source, display the list, and select the layer to publish.

After the layer is published, you can preview it to verify whether the data is published successfully. Geoserver provides a basic openlayer map to browse, or it can be displayed as a picture.
