Yesterday we finished initializing the configuration of Exchange Server. Let's take a look at how to integrate Office Online Server (OOS) with Exchange Server.

Before integrating with OOS, we opened emails with attachments in OWA only with download options and no preview options.

Preparation of prerequisites for OOS deployment

First, we will need the server that deployed OOS to join the domain

Log in to the server using the domain account after joining

Open DNS on AD and create an A record on ITSoul.cn scope

Use the command to install prerequisites:

OOS installation inserts OOS installation media

Choose to accept the license agreement with reference to the screenshot

Select the installation path according to the screenshot

Installing

Installation completed

Configure a certificate for OOS

Export the certificate last requested for Exchange Server (the certificate containing the private key)

Refer to the screenshot, import the certificate, import to the computer account

Storage location can be selected by individual.

Import completed

Refer to the screenshot and remember the friendly name of the certificate you just imported

Create a server factory, and the command contains the private and public network access address and certificate-friendly name, as shown in the figure:

Create server factory command:

New-OfficeWebAppsFarm-InternalURL "https://oos.itsoul.cn"-ExternalURL" https://oos.itsoul.cn"-CertificateName "ITSoul_MailCA"

Integrate with Exchange and use commands to configure OOS for that Mailbox server

The command is as follows:

Set-MailboxServer EXSrv01-WacDiscoveryEndpoint "https://oos.itsoul.cn/hosting/discovery"

If you have multiple servers, you need to run it multiple times.

Restart MsExchangeOwaAppPool.

Open OWA again and you will find that one has the preview option and can open Word online.
