Microsoft recently rolled out the September 2020 Update for Windows 10 (KB4571756 and KB4574727), and users reported performance issues, Start Menu crashes, login issues, temporary user profile errors, Blue Screen Crashes, and a host of other minor bugs.

As with the monthly Tuesday patch, seemingly unable to install updates was the most frequently encountered issue, with 0x8007371c and 0x800f081f being the most reported error codes.

"I've been stuck on version 10.0.19041.388 since July, because every update since then I get an error message saying some files are missing or corrupted, and now I see this error again, I don't know why this happened," one user said. This isn't an isolated case; there are similar complaints at Microsoft's Feedback Center.

If you're experiencing installation issues with the latest Windows 10 patch, we recommend you use the Media Creation Tool, which Microsoft will update to the latest version later this month.

Multiple reports show users having problems logging into Windows 10, the Start menu and Control Center crashing, and some users experiencing headaches with temporary user profile errors.

Windows 10 KB4571756 appears to have a hidden change designed to improve the tablet experience for convertible or hybrid devices. Unfortunately, this and some other changes in the update seem to break the Start menu and Control Center buttons on the normal desktop.

In other words, users using a mouse and keyboard on a normal desktop cannot open the Control Center and Start menu.

After installing the patch, nothing happens when you click the Start menu button on the taskbar or the Control Center button. One user commented: "After installing this patch, my Start button and Control Center don't work, I tried it, it must be KB4571756, because uninstalling it will solve the problem. "

Others reported blank windows when using the Start menu or Windows Search.

Users reported these issues in Microsoft Community Forums, Feedback Center. If you experience similar problems, you can use System Restore or uninstall the patch until Microsoft releases a fix.

Some users claim that after updating Windows 10 to the 2004 version, they cannot log in to the system, and Windows 10 will immediately log out their accounts after each login. Another user said that after installing the latest patch, the normal password could not be used to log in to the computer.
