Part I backup operation

Step 1, log in to the VCSA:5480 configuration interface.

Step 2, select "backup", VCSA's own backup support planning tasks, again emphasize: before configuration, you need to prepare a server (FTPS, HTTPS, SCP, FTP and HTTP) to transfer backup files, be sure to ensure that users can write.

Step 3, configure the scheduled task of the backup. You can configure the backup scheduling time and other parameters according to the situation.

Step 4, after the configuration is complete, you can test whether VCSA can transfer data to the server.

Step 5, test with an immediate backup.

Step 6, observe whether the backup status is correct, and if the server cannot write data, the backup will fail.

Step 7, make sure the backup status is complete.

Step 8, log in to the FTP server to view the backup file.

Step 9, back up the VCSA specific files, which are needed for recovery.

Part II restore VCSA

Step 1, run the VCSA 6.7installer and select restore.

Step 2, enter the restore wizard.

Step 3, accept the user license agreement.

Step 4, enter the FTP path of the backup VCSA. Note that it is the full path. If you enter the wrong path, the system will not be able to access the backup configuration file.

Step 5, the information given after the system reads the configuration file backed up by FTP.
