Most of these error messages are accompanied by some noise or the motor shuts down after a few seconds, which is because the SA is not read at all. In similar cases, more than 90% of the cases are caused by head damage, in which case 0 or 1 head is likely to be damaged. Many engineers may use many accessory trays to recover the data disk. To repair these hard drives, the user can just start PCB, enter level 2 command and use Z to stop the motor, put it back into HDA, and then use the terminal U command to start the motor, and then see if the hard drive keeps ringing and whether the motor stops. If it starts, the user may try to edit the head map or select a good head in RAM. If complete data recovery is required, the only option is to replace the head. DFL engineers do not recommend that users try the above method to recover data, but that it be treated with caution as a case of head damage. In order to ensure that there will not be secondary or permanent damage to the hard disk before replacing the head, minimize powering up the motor when dealing with firmware problems, or deal with simple firmware problems, such as clear G forms, SMART,M instructions, etc., many data recovery engineers tell us that it is very expensive for them to deal with these hard drives, and some even lose data due to serious scratches.
