There are two modes of traditional servers.

1. Server lease

Advantages: high performance, and can be customized some special configurations, such as requiring the server's hard disk storage space is particularly large.

Disadvantages: the price is more expensive. Upgrading and expansion is also inconvenient and may involve the replacement of physical equipment. It is not convenient to move, so you have to move the machine.

Resources: the degree of resource sharing is average, and the physical server belongs to only one user at the same time. However, different physical cloud servers can share network devices.

2. Server hosting

Advantages: high exclusivity, managed service is conducive to some enterprises with server assets for business migration.

Disadvantages: traditional enterprises need a lot of technical things to migrate servers from IDC to the computer room of cloud computing companies; some of the original network configuration seamless access, is also a more tedious work.

Resources: the sharing of resources is poor, and the hosted physical servers belong to the property rights of only one user.

In addition, enterprise users can use the data security and backup tools provided by cloud computing companies, traffic load balancing products and more elaborate traffic monitoring services. At the same time, cloud computing companies have more professional operation and maintenance teams. These are things that traditional IDC can't do.
