After I import it to SAP Analytics Cloud through a local csv file, the date format is as follows: MMM DD,YYYY

Dimension of type SAP Analytics Cloud Date does not support this date format, so we have to convert it to one of the formats supported by SAP Analytics Cloud. First, split according to the comma to get two columns: MMM DD and YYYY:

Then split the space in the middle of MMM DD to form MMM and DD.

Create a new column whose values are populated with a formula:

The formula is as follows: use the CONCAT function to construct a new date format: DD-MMM-YYYY CONCAT ([DD],'-'), CONCAT ([MMM],'-')), [YYYY])

The last column in the figure below is the new date column generated using the formula, and the YYYY,MMM and DD that were previously used to store temporary values can be deleted.
