Shulou(Shulou.com)06/02 Report--
This article is about the types of domain name servers. The editor thinks it is very practical, so share it with you as a reference and follow the editor to have a look.
Domain name servers can be divided into four types: primary domain name server, secondary domain name server, cached domain name server and forwarding domain name server. The data of the primary domain name server can be modified, the data of the secondary domain name server can not be modified, the information provided by the cached domain name server is indirect information, and the forwarding domain name server is responsible for the local query of all non-local domain names.
DNS (Domain Name Server, domain name server) is a server that translates domain names (domain name) and corresponding IP addresses (IP address). A table of domain names (domain name) and corresponding IP addresses (IP address) is saved in DNS to resolve the domain name of the message. A domain name is the name of a computer or computer group on Internet that is used to identify the electronic (and sometimes geographical) location of the computer during data transmission. A domain name consists of a string of names separated by dots, which usually contains the name of the organization, and always includes a two-to three-letter suffix to indicate the type of organization or the country or region in which the domain is located.
Type of domain name server:
1. Primary domain name server
Responsible for maintaining all domain name information in a region, is the authoritative source of all specific information, and the data can be modified.
2. Secondary domain name server
When the primary domain name server fails, shuts down or is overloaded, the secondary domain name server provides domain name resolution service as a backup of the primary domain name server. The data in the zone file in the secondary domain name server is copied from another primary domain name server and cannot be modified.
3. Cache domain name server
Get the query answer of each domain name server from a remote server, once you get an answer, put it in the cache, and then query the same information with the data in the cache. The cache domain name server is not an authoritative domain name server, because the information it provides is indirect information.
4. Forward domain name server
Responsible for local query of all non-local domain names. After receiving the query request, the forwarding domain name server looks for it in its cache, and if it cannot find it, it forwards the request to the specified domain name server in turn, until the result is found, otherwise it returns the result that cannot be mapped.
