What is the integration of SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Cloud for Customer? I believe many inexperienced people don't know what to do about it. Therefore, this article summarizes the causes and solutions of the problem. Through this article, I hope you can solve this problem.

A recent project done by Jerry requires integration using SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Cloud for Customer. I knew nothing about this field before, so I took this opportunity to learn.

Project background previous to Jerry articles on how to embed custom UI in SAP Cloud for Customer pages have been introduced. We have developed a WeChat Mini Programs for car sales, which will generate Lead data in SAP Cloud for Customer during use. We hope to use SAP Analytics Cloud to analyze and predict the Leads data in C4C in order to help the sales achieve its sales target more effectively.

According to the official website of SAP Analytics Cloud, there are Live Data Connections and Import Data Connections to establish connections between Analytics Cloud and other SAP products or third-party systems that provide data sources. The biggest difference between the two is that the former does not have data replication (Replication), while the latter has data replication similar to that between SAP ERP and SAP CRM.

The support matrix for the two connection types indicates that SAP Cloud for Customer only supports integration with SAP Analytics Cloud through Import Data Connections.

Because both are deployed through the public cloud, there is no need to use SAP Cloud Connector for internal and external network traversing.

Create a new connection in SAP Analytics Cloud:

Select SAP Cloud Platform Analytics in Acquire Data:

The Analytics model of the SAP Cloud for Customer system is exposed to SAP Analytics Cloud through the URL above.

After the connection is established, open a new Model creation task based on the connection, and select SAP Cloud for Customer Analytics:

SAP Analytics Cloud's Model is based on Query, so create a Query first:

After clicking Next, SAP Analytics Cloud will read the Query list information from SAP Cloud for Customer:

Wait a moment, and SAP Cloud for Customer's Report model is read out and displayed in SAP Analytics Cloud's Query list. Because SAP Analytics Cloud is an Analytics Hub, it is impossible to know the storage details of domain data in Cloud for Customer applications such as Sales,Service,Marketing, so the C4C Report, which acts as a proxy, can complete the task of data reading.

Each Query that appears in the dialog list above corresponds to a Report in the Design Reports (work center view) of the C4C system Business Analytics (work center view), named "RPQ000QueryResults". C4C Report ID can be found in C4C system.

Assuming that the standard Report issued by SAP C4C can not meet the actual needs of my project, I can build a new Report based on Sales Lead (CODLEAHB), the standard Data Source of C4C.

Click New Report:

Maintain Name as Zjerryc4cLeadReport:

Select the default two Key Figure,Counter and Today, because the Report I want to create will tell me how many Lead there are in the C4C system as of today, and the source distribution of these Lead (distinguished by the Source field of Lead).

This custom C4C Report has been created:

After you have created it, simply test it:

Because no restrictions are selected, the countervalue displayed by the Report is the total number of Lead in the current system: 5837. Click the funnel icon to open the help dialog box in the Source field:

Select the Wechat Social Channel represented by Z01:

Get the expected result: 6.

This is consistent with the results of the OWL query.

After the Report of C4C is created, it can be retrieved in the Query list of SAP Analytics Cloud and selected:

In SAP Analytics Cloud, you can select all the supported Characteristics in C4C custom Report as the selection condition of the SAP Analytics Cloud model. The Incremental Load in the following figure works similar to the Delta Download of SAP CRM middleware and is beyond the scope of this article.

Once the selection criteria for SAP Analytics Cloud Model are defined, data synchronization begins.

After all the data is synchronized from SAP C4C to SAP Analytics Cloud, the prompt shows that a total of 5837 records were imported successfully:

SAP Analytics Cloud Model is created automatically based on this batch of imported data.

Next, it is the general operation of SAP Analytics Cloud, that is, to create a Story based on the model and display various charts. For specific steps, please refer to the help documentation of SAP Analytics Cloud.

The following figure shows the distribution of all the Lead of the C4C system distinguished by its Source field. You can see that there are the most Lead from Campaign and the least Lead created through Wechat Social Channel.
