Apple is very cautious about the choice of public behavior, so it often tries to find out what it is doing, which is just a matter of reading between the lines. Because what a company doesn't do is almost as important as what it does.

While this spring has not been uncommon for Apple watchers so far, it has been rewarding to see which products the company has launched, as they begin to point the way forward for Apple. Apple may organize its own forces before taking some more important steps.

The Virtual Global developer Conference (Virtual Global Developers Conference) is about six weeks away, when Apple will unveil its next major product, and we still have a little time before our latest theory is tested.

The 13-inch MacBook pro revision was released early last week, and low-end speculation has begun to suggest that Apple's professional portable lineup will refresh the 15-inch model that emerged from the cocoon last fall.

Rumors of a 14-inch MacBook Pro, a larger screen and a smaller watch case seem reasonable, but Apple's final version is a milder update. In high-end models, new processors and magic keyboards with RAM bumps have doubled storage, while low-end models have received little attention.

This is not the final decision. It will still take several months to complete this update. If the 14-inch MacBook Pro is ready, Apple will release it. There is no need to keep things that only grow old. At the same time, it seems like a strange time when another new model is released in the fall, only about six months before the last update.

The postponement of a more substantial redesign may indicate that the Mac platform will undergo more significant changes. Maybe it's the long-rumored ARM processor transition? While the 14-inch MacBook Pro wasn't the first Mac computer I guessed to make a leap, Apple did start Intel's transformation by turning the PowerBook into an MacBook Pro, and history really likes to repeat itself.

At the same time, there are strange similarities in the 2020 iPad Pro. In addition to some minor improvements in graphics performance and the addition of lidar sensors, the latest version of Apple's high-end tablet was redesigned just a few weeks ago and looks strikingly similar to the 2018 version.

And, like MacBook Pro, iPad Pro is rumored to be updated in the fall, with a mini led display and possibly other major improvements.

Of course, the iPad series is unlikely to achieve processor transition, so the interpretation of Mac here is meaningless. Nevertheless, it is certain that there will be some other important technologies in the next generation of iPad, such as 5G wireless technology. But now there are rumors that Apple will release more substantive updates in 2021, so Apple will position the iPad Pro in 2020 to fill this gap and, more importantly, it will be released along with the magic keyboard.

The product line that hasn't been updated for a while includes most of Apple's desktop Macs. Mac mini was last updated in November 2018, but this is not surprising given that the update seems to take several years. Of course, Mac Pro is brand new.
