A file system is a way of allocating files when they are written to a hard disk.

Common file system

Type (type) minimum storage unit single partition maximum capacity sharing encryption compression quota security

FAT (FAT16): whether 64KB 2G supports it

FAT32: whether 32KB 32G supports it

Note: the most fatal disadvantage of FAT32 is that the size of a single file cannot exceed 4GB.

NTFS: 512B-64KB 2TB support

Disk quota

The windows system only supports quotas for users, not quotas for user groups.

Note:

Global quota: all users in the system, except the Super Admin group, are subject to a uniform standard.

Local quota: set different quota limit standards for different users

The priority of local quota is higher than that of full set, for example, the full set quota is 2g per person, but the user U1 local quota is 3G

Local permissions (ntfs)

Characteristics of NTFS permissions:

A: permissions are cumulative:

For example, a user U1, which belongs to both group1 and group2,group1, has read permission to the file, and group2 has the permission to modify the file.

Then the permissions of user U1 are the cumulative permissions of group1 and group2. Here group1 and 2 are user groups.

B: permissions are inherited

Child files and folders inherit the permissions of the parent directory. Inheritance can be removed.

C: deny permission first

A user U1, which belongs to both group1 and group2,group1, has full control over the file

If group2 has deny permission to the file, then U1 can only deny permission to the file.

Shadow copy

Note: shadow copies can only be made on partitions.
