Calibration configuration scheme of pulse counter

Pulse counter is a kind of electronic measuring instrument which can respond to pulse signal and carry out counting measurement, and it is called periodic signal pulse counter in response to periodic electrical signal and pulse counting measurement.

The pulse counting module directly or indirectly reflects the relevant parameters of the signal transmission system according to the pulse number of the measured signal, such as deducing the mechanical speed of the speed system, the fluid capacity of the flow measurement system and so on.

Calibrate according to the pulse counter calibration specification of JJF1686-2018 pulse counter.

The equipment used in the test:

1. SYN3204 GPS tamed rubidium atomic frequency standard

The principle of GPS taming rubidium atomic frequency standard equipment is to receive GPS and Beidou satellite signals, so that the output frequency of rubidium oscillator in the equipment is synchronized with GPS satellite signals, which improves the long-term stability and accuracy of frequency signals, and can provide a high precision time and frequency standard of cesium clock.

2. SYN5610 pulse signal generator

SYN5610 pulse signal generator adopts direct digital synthesis technology, selects high precision constant temperature crystal oscillator as internal clock reference, counts trigger or single trigger output of pulse signal, has multiple output channels, external trigger input channel, external frequency standard input channel, multiple pulse signal output, 7-inch liquid crystal touch screen, large scale integrated circuit FPGA technology, full digital control. To achieve high-precision pulse generation testing, the whole machine has the advantages of high stability, high accuracy, perfect function, convenient operation and strong anti-interference ability.

3. Counter

Calibration method

1. The calibrated pulse counter shall have the specification and model, the manufacturer's name, the equipment number and the corresponding warning sign; it should have the necessary accessories, instructions and components should be firmly installed to ensure normal operation, and the display function is normal after electrification.

2. The standard pulse counter generally adopts the direct measurement method, and the pulse signal generator directly outputs the pulse signal to the pulse counter. The connection diagram is as follows.

Connect the signal output of the signal generator to the input of the calibrated pulse counter, according to the technical specifications of the calibrated pulse counter, set the corresponding signal parameters of the signal generator, including signal frequency, level, pulse width, etc. According to the instructions or working requirements of the calibrated pulse counter, properly select the frequency points such as 1hz, 10hz, 100hz, 1khz, 10khz, 100khz, 1mhz and so on, output the standard pulse number covering the measuring range, and correct the calibrated pulse. The pulse protection error of pulse counter is calibrated.

The basic function of the pulse counter is to count the number of clock pulses, that is, to realize the counting operation. it can also be used for frequency division, timing, generating beat pulses and pulse sequences. For example, counters are used in timing generators, frequency dividers, instruction counters, etc. Thus it can be seen that the market of pulse counter is still very wide, and the measurement of pulse counter is also essential.
