One, batch Batches

When creating a sales order, the business staff can manually enter the batch number of each ITEM (whether the item is managed by batch or not, through the 'batch management' field in the "Storage" and "Purchasing" view of the material master record). When a delivering sales order is made, the batch is copied to outbound delivery and cannot be modified.

If batch is not specified in the sales order, we can enter one on the outbound delivery's' picking' screen. We must specify a batch, of course, before the goods issue at the latest.

If the number of delivery for a line item needs to be obtained from a different batches, you can use batch split function. Batch spits can be executed in the following ways:

1) manually in the batch split screen of delivery item

2) use auto-decision batch when creating outbound delivery (this feature must be activated in delivery item category first)

3) through manual batch determination of batch split screen

4) in the WM module

Second, serial number Serial Number

We can assign a unique serial number to each material so that we can monitor the movement of goods for each material to facilitate traceability.

To use the serial number, enter serial number profile in the master record for the corresponding item. The following figure is shown:

The serial number is usually specified in the delivery item, however, we can also define it in the order. We can also use the system to automatically assign serial numbers. We must specify all serial numbers before posting goods issue.

Third, pricing in outward delivery documents

Outbound delivery can include shipping-related conditions in header, such as shipping or freight costs (if we don't use the Transportation module).

We can manually enter conditional values or use SD's pricing condition technology to determine; we can print conditions on delivery note and send them to billing document, but we cannot transfer them from previous credentials to outbound delivery.

To apply the criteria, assign the pricing procedure to the delivery type using the standard customization settings (condition type definition,maintaining the pricing procedure) of the pricing.

Fourth, split the delivery order into Delivery Split

We can split the existing deliveries into several smaller deliveries. This is useful, for example, when the truck does not have enough to store the entire delivery.

To do this, we call a list and select the number of portions of the delivery items,items to take from the existing delivery, or shipping units. When we split a delivery, we produce one or more new deliveries called results and remainder.

When we call delivery split, we specify a split profile to determine the split type, which contains control parameters that are defined in the configuration and assigned to the delivery types.

The transaction code for Delivery segmentation is: VLSP.

For example, there are three ITEM in the following delivery order

I want to split it into three delivery orders, each with an ITEM, and execute the VLSP

Select ITEM10 and click Save split

Successfully, the system automatically generates a new delivery order number and displays the new delivery order number. As pictured above.

Select 20 ITEM of delivery order 80018670 and continue to split

In this way, delivery order 80018670 is divided into three delivery orders, the number is 80018670 / 80018677 / 80018678, as shown in the figure above.
