Shulou(Shulou.com)06/01 Report--

How to enhance the text cursor and mouse pointer in Windows 10, I believe that many inexperienced people do not know what to do. Therefore, this article summarizes the causes and solutions of the problem. Through this article, I hope you can solve this problem.

Sometimes you may forget the text cursor and mouse pointer in Win10-they may disappear for a second or just hide on the screen, so you can't find them easily or quickly. To solve this problem, you can change the size and color of the mouse pointer and the thickness of the text cursor. This type of customization has been available for a long time, but Win10 May Update provides some new techniques for adjusting cursors and pointers.

In Win10 May Update, go to Settings and open the easy access category. In the Vision section, select the Cursor&Pointer option. The May update flipped the items on this screen and added a new setting to resize the cursor; the first setting makes it easier for you to change the pointer size through the slider. To try this, drag the slider on the bar to see the pointer size increase (figure A).

Next, you can change the color of the pointer-another way to help you view it more easily. Win10 offers four options, while three were available before the May update. The first option displays a white pointer and a black outline. The second one is displayed in black with a white outline. The third one remains black but removes the white outline. Win10 May Update's new feature is the fourth option that allows you to select a specific color for the pointer-the color that suits you best (figure B).

In windows 10 May Update, the next item in the list is the cursor thickness, which may be helpful if you are sometimes unable to track or view the text cursor. To see this, open the document in a program such as Microsoft Word. Move the text cursor across the screen to see how it is displayed. Return to the Settings screen and drag the cursor thickness slider to the right (figure C). Go back to your Word document and notice how the cursor now displays-it may be so thick that it overlaps the letter on the right, but it should be thick enough for you to find it easily. As with other settings, you may need to use this feature for it to function properly.

For the windows 10 version prior to the May update, the cursor thickness setting first appeared on the cursor and pointer size settings screen. The change cursor thickness setting gives you three specific sizes to choose from instead of sliders. Changing the pointer color setting makes it impossible for you to change the actual color to white and black (figure D).

In addition to customizing the mouse pointer using the built-in options, you should also check the settings for a specific mouse or trackpad. To do this, open the Control Panel in the icon view, and then click the Mouse icon, which displays the Mouse Properties window with different sections. The two parts we will see are pointers and pointer options (figure E).

Select the pointer tab. This section shows different pointers for normal activity, background activity, window resizing, selection, and so on. To change the style of a specific pointer, double-click it. From the File Manager Browse window, select the type of pointer style you want to use (figure F). In the Pointers section, you can also enable pointer shadows, which can help you better discover pointers. In addition, you can change the Windows scheme, which specifies a different color and size for the pointer.

Select the tab of the mouse pointer option-here you can change the pointer speed and improve its precision. You can set the pointer to the default button in the alignment box so that you don't have to move it to the exact location yourself. You can display the pointer track, which may be distracting, but it may be helpful if you can't see the cursor. You can hide the pointer as you type so that it does not interfere with the pointer. Finally, as long as you press the key, you can enable the CTRL key to display the position of the pointer (figure G).
