Shulou(Shulou.com)06/03 Report--

This article mainly introduces the method of testing disk performance of CVM with iozone tool, which has certain reference value, and friends who need it can refer to it. The following information is about the use of the iozone tool.

Iozone is a file system testing benchmark tool. You can test the read and write performance of file systems in different operating systems. The performance of hard drives in different modes, such as write, re-write, read, re-read, random read, random write, random mix, backwards read, record rewirte, strided read, fwrite, frewrite, fread, freread, mmap, async Icano, etc. When testing, please note that the size of the test file must be larger than your memory (preferably twice the size of memory), otherwise linux will cache the contents of your reads and writes, which will make the value very inaccurate.

The download method is not detailed. You can download either the source package or the compiled RPM package of your own choice. The following is an introduction to usage and analysis.

1.iozone-a

Iozone will be tested in all modes, using record blocks from 4k to 16m and test file sizes from 64k to 512m.

1.iozone-Rab output.xls

If you want to display the test results as a chart, you can use iozone to put the test results in Excel.

1.iozone-Ra-g 2g-I 0-I 1

If we are only concerned with the read/write performance of the file disk and do not have to spend time testing on other modes, we need to specify the test mode. -I specifies the mode, with mode 0 for write/rewrite and mode 1 for read/re-read.

There are many optional parameters for iozone, and we only need to remember a few commonly used parameters when testing.

Below, the 100g SSD disk of Ruijiang CVM is used as the test disk, running in mode 0 and mode 1. The block size ranges from 4k to 16k, and the file size is 1g.

1./opt/iozone/bin/iozone-a-s 1g-I 0-I 1-f / tmp/testfile-y 4k-Q 16k

Results:

The test results mainly look at the last few lines of data, showing file size, block size and throughput (in KB/s) under various read and write modes from left to right, respectively. For example, the throughput of 4k reads is 3883269kB/s.

On the use of iozone tools to share here, I hope that the above content can be of some help to you, can learn more knowledge. If you think the article is good, you can share it for more people to see.
