Step 1: start the profile-> Control Panel-> Mail > double-click email-> add-> profile name (mySqlFile) to add a new email account-> Select POP3 (P)->

User Information: name: yyy email address: yyy@xxx.com

Login information: user name: yyy password: *

Incoming Mail Server (POP3) (I): pop3.xxx.com outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) (O): smtp.xxx.com Click other Settings-> sending Server-> Select (my sending server (SMTP) requires authentication)-> Select login to use

User name: yyy password: *

Check to remember the password

Confirm

Test account Settings-> success-> next-> OK

Open the OutLook software, test whether you can receive email normally, all OK, and proceed to the next step configuration Note: after OutLook is configured, it must be restarted.

Step 2: configure the database server to adopt a mail profile

Start-> Control Panel-> Administrative tools-> Services-> Select SQLSERVERAGENT Service-> Properties-> Login-> Select this account (fill in the username and password of the current login operating system). You must not select a local system account.

Step 3: whether the database verification is successful

Enterprise Manager-> expand Server-> Administration-> SQLServer Agent-> Mail session-> Mail profile drop-down box Select mySqlFile Point "Test" pop-up "A mail session has been successfully started (and stopped) with this profile" indicates success. Click OK to restart the Sqlserver proxy service.

Step 4: test email Enterprise Manager-> deploy Server-> manage-> SQLServer Agent-> operator-> New operator-> Properties-> General tab enter a test mailbox in the email name: aaa@bbb.com click "Test" to receive mail in aaa@bbb.com.

Note: be sure to keep outlook started throughout the process. If you configure sqlserver's mail profile and then try to open outlook, it fails. The dialog box "cannot open the default email folder" will pop up because sqlserver occupies the mail profile. You need to stop the SQLSERVERAGENT service, open outlook, and then start the SQLSERVERAGENT service.
