Shulou(Shulou.com)06/01 Report--
Today, I will talk to you about how the Windows server synchronizes rsync and incremental backup. Many people may not know much about it. In order to make you understand better, the editor has summarized the following content for you. I hope you can get something according to this article.
These days to synchronize the two servers, both Windows servers, I will take my own computer to test first, after all, the website on the server is still in use, can not fool around, after two days of bitter regular test, finally succeeded, now share with you, back to the point.
Tell me about the computer configuration and the software you use:
Server:
Windows7 system 64bit 4G memory
The ip address is 192.168.1.13
CwRsyncServer_4.1.0_Installer.exe
Client:
Windows7 system 64bit 4G memory
The ip address is 192.168.1.56
CwRsync_4.0.3_Installer.exe
All right, after the software, let's talk about the configuration of the server:
First, double-click cwRsyncServer_4.1.0_Installer.exe and click next. When it comes to selecting the path, I chose D:\ rsync\ server.
Then click on the next step until
(figure 1)
When taking this step, , pay attention! Your user name and password must be remembered, otherwise you cannot open this service or synchronize files in the future. The user name I set here is aaa, and the password is sun123456.
Click next so that the installation is complete.
Then go to the directory where you installed, mine is D:\ rsync\ server, go to the ICW folder inside, D:\ rsync\ server\ ICW
(figure 2)
As shown in the picture, open the rsyncd.conf folder with notepad, then empty the contents and fill in the
Use chroot = false
Uid = 0
Gid = 0
Strict modes = false
Log file = rsyncd.log
Port = 52326
[www]
Path = / cygdrive/c/www
Read only = false
Transfer logging = yes
Auth users = aaa
Secrets file = etc/testuser.pas
Hosts allow = 192.168.1.56
Hosts deny = 0.0.0.0amp 0
(I only need these parameters. You can look for others on the Internet. If you can't find them, contact me.)
Now let's analyze the more important parameters:
Port = 52326 this is the port on which the server listens is 52326.
[www] this is to define a module, which is equivalent to a user, which can be used to limit some permissions and the folders that the user can access. This can have multiple, and then call him the module name (as I call it, unofficially).
I did it with reference to http://bbs.nanjimao.com/thread-915-1-1.html, which you can also take a look at.
Path = / cygdrive/c/www this is the folder to be backed up is the www folder of disk c
Auth users = aaa this is the user name you filled in in figure 1 when you installed cwRsyncServer_4.1.0_Installer.
Secrets file = etc/testuser.pas this is the path where the password file is located, which will be described in more detail later
Hosts allow = 192.168.1.56 allows access to the IP address of this server. My client is 192.168.1.56. I will fill in this and modify this as needed.
Hosts deny = 0. 0. 0. 0 is the address to which access is blocked.
Okay, after that, let's talk about a very important configuration, that is, the password file. In figure 2, you must not have noticed a folder, that is, the etc folder. OK, that's him. Go to the folder D:\ rsync\ server\ ICW\ etc, and create a new file testuser.pas in the folder. Remember, this name should be the same as the name in the secrets file above.
The content is in the format of user name: password
My content is: aaa:sun123456
All right, the server side is done. Yes, there is another place, that is, you need to create a folder that you want to back up. OK, create a www folder on disk C, throw something in it, and then start-> cmd- > services.msc.
Find your service.
Yes, this is the service framed in red.
Right-> attribute
Select this account and fill in the user name when you installed cwRsyncServer_4.1.0_Installer. The password is the password you set, and mine is aaa sun123456.
Click OK, then right-click the service, click start., then turn off your firewall, and that's what happens on the server side.
Okay, let's talk about the client now.
Double-click cwRsync_4.0.3_Installer on the client side, and then keep in mind that the installation path for this is the default path C:\ Program Files (x86)\ cwRsync.
Then create a databackup folder under disk c, and then create a www folder in databackup. This is the file used to save the backup.
Then open the client command line and change to the bin directory under that installation directory: cd C:\ Program Files (x86)\ cwRsync\ bin and type on the command line
Rsync.exe-vzrtopg-- progress-- delete aaa@192.168.1.13::www / cygdrive/c/databackup/www-- port=52326
Enter password sun123456
Let me explain this.
Rsync.exe-vzrtopg-- progress-- delete (the user name you entered in figure 1) @ (the IP address of the server):: (module name configured by rsyncd.conf) / cygdrive/ (the folder you just created on disk c)-port= (the port on which the server listens)
