How do I publish a shared folder to AD on the file server and access it through search on the client computer?

Solution method

1. Create a shared folder on the file server (take the file server built on DC as an example). Here, only Everyone is given read-only permission:

Here you can see that the shared folder UNC path is\ DC01\ Sharefolder:

2.1Running computer Management compmgmt.msc

Select shared folder-Properties

Publish-check Publish this share folder:-write a description in Description:-in Edit... Add the keyword Share for search at, sharefolder as an example:

3. View the published shared folder in AD.

Run dsa.msc to open active Directory users and computers:

View-Select Users, Contacts, Groups, and Computers as containers:

You can see the shared folder Sharefolder published to AD under DC:

4. Search for and access published shared folders on the client computer.

Turn on my computer:

Network-Search Active Directory-Select SharedFolder at Find:

Enter share-Find now at the keyword-search to the shared folder:

Right-click Properties-Explore...:

The pop-up box allows you to access the files inside:

Of course, you can also select Map Network Drive... in the attribute. :

At the drive symbol, we can select S-Finish by the initials of the shared folder:

In my computer, you can see the network drive letter S, which can be accessed normally as long as the network is in the domain environment when the computer is restarted:
