Samsung's Galaxy S21 series was launched in January 2021, so we are not far from their expected successor.

Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra were released in January 2021, several months ahead of the company's typical Galaxy S-series release schedule.

It is not clear whether January is the new schedule for the Galaxy S series, or whether Samsung will return the February announcement and March release for the Galaxy S22 series-or change it altogether. It is rumored that the announcement date will be February 8, 2022, and the launch date will be February 18, but there is no official news yet.

In terms of price, the Galaxy S21 starts at £769 in the UK and $799 in the US. The Galaxy S21 + starts in the UK at £949 and $999 in the US. Their successors are likely to remain within a similar range, but it is too early to say.

Samsung Galaxy S22 series is likely to have the same design features as S21 series. There will no doubt be some changes compared to the 2021 series, but their changes may be smaller than those between the S20 series and the S21 series.

Rumors and renderings show that minor changes have been made, but no substantial changes have been made, and the camera shell has been moved to a separate island instead of being wrapped again in the S22 and S22 + frames.

We expect the entire range of high-end phones to appear, but at least the standard S22 may choose a plastic back instead of glass like the S21. However, all S22 models need to be waterproof and can be recharged using USB Type-C.

We also want all models to have prominent camera housings and punched front cameras. Although Galaxy Z Fold 3 provides an under-display camera, it is said that the Galaxy S22 series will not use it.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 has a 6.2-inch display and the S21 + has a 6.7-inch display.
