Command: FTP

Parameter:-I turns off interactive prompts during multi-file transfer.

-s:filename specifies the text file that contains the FTP command; the command runs automatically after FTP starts.

Host specifies the host name or the IP address of the remote host to connect to.

There must be commands within FTP:

Open connects to ftp server

Mget downloads multiple files

Mput uploads multiple files

Cd [dir] switch FTP directory

Lcd [dir] changes the local working directory to dir.

Bye disconnected from the server.

Common commands within FTP:

Bin uses binary file transfer.

Dir looks at the files in the current directory

Ls displays remote directories

Send (put) upload files

Get download file

Del deletes a file

Passive enters passive transmission mode

Prompt sets interactive prompts for multiple file transfers.

Usage: FTP [- I] [- s:filename]
