Pika3.0 has been officially released. Pika is a popular C++ open source project. Based on the Redis-like storage developed by RocksDB, we strive to solve the problems of high cost of master-slave synchronization, slow recovery time, relatively fragile single thread and high memory cost of Redis in large-capacity scenarios through persistent storage on the premise of fully compatible with Redis protocol and inheriting the convenient operation and maintenance design of Redis.

­Pika3.0 main new features

­New engine blackwidow

­performance of multiple interfaces has been significantly improved

­We are well aware that disk space is not easy to come by, so the new engine with the same data takes up less space.

­since then, there is no limit of 256bytes for key length of multiple data structures.

­zset structure with exactly the same precision as Redis

­New binlog (write2file)

­higher resolution efficiency

­smaller size, more disk space friendly

­from now on, pika's binlog supports multi-version formats that are compatible with each other, and binlog upgrades will no longer cause confusion to everyone.

­more efficient server layer

­optimize the call efficiency of server layer to engine layer

­remove redundant code and optimize logic to improve the overall performance of the server layer

­now, the server layer code will be read more smoothly, of course, there is still a gap between poetry and poetry.
