2.1.2 preparation before installation

If you want to get the Oracle installer, you can download it on www.oracle.com and recognize your operating system version: 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit.

Two files are downloaded, but they need to be combined into one file at installation time (unzip the two installation packages into one folder at the same time). However, the following actions are strongly recommended before installation:

1. First install the VMware Workstation Pro virtual machine (install steps "next" and "next", which are not described in detail here)

2.1.2 officially start the installation of Oracle 11g:

Simply execute the "setup.exe" command:

First, the user is asked if they want to receive updates from Oracle. Select "next" to not receive updates.

Just choose "Yes".

Oracle itself is just a software platform, and you need to configure the database for it after the Oracle platform is installed, so you will be asked here if you need to create a new database. If this is the first time to install, select "create and configure database"

Here we select the "server" type, and then "next".

This time we are not involved in RAC management in Oracle, note: RAC management is the essence of OracleDBA, in the enterprise we will all be AIX+Oracle configuration, our database can not just support a service that will need RAC management, now we first learn the development part, do not need RAC management.

In order to make it easy to configure, please select Advanced installation when installing here.

Choose to install "Enterprise Edition", this installation package is the most complete.

You can choose to fill in the appropriate installation path (because we are running in a virtual machine, it doesn't matter where you install it).

Here we install it under disk C: C:\ d\ ProTools\ Oracle11g\ product\ 11.2.0\ dbhome_1

The previous part is provided by us, followed by its own installation directory, which saves all the Oracle execution paths:\ product\ 11.2.0\ dbhome_1

Select the default General purpose / transaction.

The name of the database is uniformly defined as "Tomge" here, and we have chosen to create a new database, so we will be asked to enter the name of the database we want to create.

Set the character encoding in the character set tab to UTF-8 encoding, if we do not set it here, there may be Chinese garbled in later development.

In the instance scheme tab, "create a database with a sample scheme". Note: considering the convenience of learning, it is required to create all the sample data.

The next two steps are to go by default.

2.1.3 set password

For ease of administration, all usernames and passwords are set to "oracleadmin" (all lowercase, but note that this does not belong to the standard for entering passwords for Oracle)

If the check fails, choose to ignore it.

Now that the installation has begun, the database will be created this time, and each database needs to be configured additionally.

Then we will choose the password management service:

Note: this place "√" means locked; when clicked, no √ means unlocked.

The following users mainly operate (set the classic password of Oracle). Note that in the actual production environment, our settings must not be the following passwords:

L Super Admin: sys/change_on_install

L General Administrator: system/manager

L ordinary user: scott/tiger, note: this user needs to be unlocked

L big data user (only available in the sample database): sh/sh, note: this user needs to be unlocked

It is suggested here that our password is not standard; just ignore it.

At this time, it means that the installation of the Oracle software and the database are complete. Select "close" and the installation is complete.

2.1.4 follow-up setup method for completing Oracle 11g installation:

But after the installation is complete, it registers the following with the Windows system:

After installing Oracle, the related services of Oracle will be set to start automatically, but this will cause our program to execute too slowly (the computer starts too slowly). So it is strongly recommended that the "startup type" here be changed from "automatic" to "manual".

You only need to start two services each time you start:

OracleOraDb11g_home1TNSListener: it's a listening service. If you want to connect to our Oracle database through a program or a different client, this service must be started, otherwise you can't connect. If you only operate Oracle on the local computer, you don't need this service. In order to cultivate everyone's habits, both services are started.

OracleServiceTOMGE: database instance service. Its naming standard: OracleServiceSID comes from. The previous settings are as follows:

|-by default, the name of SID is exactly the same as that of the database. The name of SID is used on the network.

|-whenever a database is added to the system, a similar name automatically appears.
