­Abstract: after the successful launch in Japan, Nintendo's first smartphone app successfully launched in Apple's iOS store. Miitomo is not a game, Miitomo is a social experience APP, in which users create their own Mii identities or import existing identities from Wii U or 3DS through QR codes. Users can add their friends, or add contacts on Facebook and Twitter.

­the application will naturally ask users a variety of interesting questions designed to stimulate dialogue. The user's friends can like the user's answer, or post various images and respond with text. Miitomo is currently available free of charge to iOS and Android users, but Nintendo did not say whether the APP will be charged in the future.

­users will receive platinum or gold points from the Nintendo incentive program by signing up for Nintendo accounts through miitomo.com, which will be exchanged for downloads, online store coupons, or complete games.

­Nintendo plans to launch five more smartphone apps in partnership with developer DeNA by the end of March 2017. Nintendo is gradually trying to expand beyond the mainframe and handset, as smartphones and tablets are replacing dedicated handheld devices.
