Shulou(Shulou.com)06/01 Report--
This article is about how to set up your EOS wallet and account. The editor thinks it is very practical, so I hope you can get something after reading this article. Let's take a look at it with the editor.
Since the SuperNode super node community is built on top of EOS, we want to guide our community members to set up EOS wallets and accounts in order to fully participate in our ecosystem.
Although the setup process may not be as simple as other blockchain systems, don't worry. Here are some steps to help you set up your EOS wallet and account.
After completing all these steps, you will successfully set up an EOS account, which supports fund transfers, voting, and receiving EOS-based tokens (such as SNCT).
Part 1: use Scatter to set up EOS wallets
There are several EOS wallets on the market, but for this demonstration, we will use Scatter because it is easy to use and widely adopted by the EOS community. Scatter is a Google Chrome extension, so if you are not currently using a Chrome browser, you need to download Chrome.
Go to the Scatter page of the Google Chrome extension and click add to chrome, that is, "Add to Chrome"
two。 Click the Scatter logo in the upper right corner of Google Chrome
3. Set the password of your choice and click to create a new account, namely "create new Scatter".
4. Write down mnemonics and keep all 12 words in a safe location
5. Click to skip the basic settings, namely "Skip Basic Setup"
6. Click the key pair, that is, "Key Pairs"
7. Click New "New"
8. Follow these steps to generate a key pair:
1)。 Enter the name you like.
2)。 Click to generate the key pair, which is "Generate Key Pair". After you complete this step, the public and private keys are displayed.
3)。 Click copy "Copy" and save the two keys in a secure location.
4)。 Click Save "Save".
9. The key pair is activated.
10. Repeat steps 7-9 to create another key pair
EOS accounts can be configured with different keys corresponding to different permissions. In EOS, owner and activity permissions are standard permissions for each account. Therefore, in this step, we will create another key pair for the active permission. After repeating steps 7-9, you should be able to see the following:
Part 2: assign your EOS public key to your EOS account
After obtaining the public key from Scatter, the next step is to set up the EOS account. There are two recommended ways:
1.) Ask a friend who has an existing EOS account to create an account for you.
2.) Use the EOS account generation tool.
In this guide, we will show you how to use the second option to create an EOS account. We recommend using the EOS account creator EOS Account Creator, which is straightforward and supports multiple payment methods.
To set up an account, you need the RAM of 4KB. During the installation process, you need to pay a small one-time fee in EOS. However, unlike Ethernet, which pays for every transaction, EOS does not incur subsequent transaction fees after setting up an account.
1. Go to the EOS account Builder and click get started, which is "Get Started".
two。 Select an account name
The following requirements should be followed when obtaining your EOS account name: 1.) It contains exactly 12 characters. 2.) Lowercase characters. 3.) Number to five.
3. Provide owner and activity public key
Note: only the public key is required for EOS account settings. Never send your private key to anyone.
4. Pay for
EOS Account Creator is a convenient tool that supports all popular payment options. Among them, using EOS from a trading account is naturally the cheapest option.
5. Follow these instructions to settle the payment
If you use EOS to settle the payment, the remaining balance after paying the RAM and betting will be credited to your account.
6. You should see the confirmation in less than a minute after the payment is completed.
7. Go to EOS Block Explorer to check your account status
Because we use tools to help create accounts, it is important to check for accuracy. The best way is to view the chain of EOS blocks directly through EOS Block Explorer.
1.) Go to EOS Block Explorer and enter your EOS account name
2.) Check your balance and account status
3.) Scroll down and click account permissions, which is "Account Permissions". Carefully check whether the public key is correct.
Part 3: configure EOS accounts with Scatter wallets
After creating an EOS account and checking Block chain Explorer, you can configure your EOS account with your wallet.
1. Open Scatter and click "Identities"
two。 Click to modify that is "Edit"
3. Under the account "Account", select your valid key pair
4. Click Import to be "Import"
5. Select your_eos_account_name @ active, and then click use selected account
6. Click to save to be "Save"
7. Click the circle to check the EOS balance in the account
Congratulations! If you are already here, your account has now been successfully configured, and you can use EOS to perform most functions and receive tokens such as SNCT at the appropriate time.
