The following is the impact of disabling ATS detection signal processing:

It does not affect the acquisition of HB slots (startup detection signal).

This change affects periodic / regular detection signal updates.

Recover the detection signal related activity in the ESXi host using normal SCSI read and write to update its detection signal on the VMFS data store.

Note:

This change takes effect immediately and does not require a reboot.

Regardless of the VMFS version, the root node of these options is / VMFS3. The last character of the option matches the corresponding VMFS version.
