Shulou(Shulou.com)06/01 Report--
This article mainly introduces how to install Arch using floppy disk in Linux. It is very detailed and has certain reference value. Friends who are interested must finish reading it.
Restart your computer using the boot floppy disk. After a crunch, you should see the startup prompt. (Jubb simply cancels the floppy disk installation) it is eagerly waiting for your input, type in some required kernel parameters and press enter.
If you are using a USB keyboard, you need to automatically add support for USB at startup. You can set your USB bus type through the NEEDUSB parameter. For example, if your bridge is UHCI, you should type archNEEDUSB=uhci at the startup prompt. After the root disk is loaded, you will be prompted to load the USB additional disk, which will be loaded automatically after 10 seconds. If you are not sure about the type of USB bus, try using NEEDUSB=auto, which will load all the USB bus modules (UHCI,OHCI,EHCI three).
During startup, you will be prompted to insert VFS:InsertrootfloppydisktobeloadedintoRAMdiskandpressENTER into the root disk and press enter. After several twists and turns, you will come to the command line, because you will need to install through the Ethernet module, so you should load the corresponding module from the ether_pcmcia disk. Insert the disk and run: # loaddisk/dev/floppy/0 after a while, all Ethernet modules will be unzipped to the file system. If the directory / lib/modules/ is still empty after running the above command, or if there is a series of errors, then your disk is probably dead. Create a new module disk and try again. There is no need for a reboot in this case, just retype the loaddisk command. Even if several discs are dead, you don't have to worry, because it's very common (unfortunately). Don't say no one told you.
You should also load some additional disks you need, such as SCSI or RAID/LVM. Use just like the above
Loaddisk
The command loads each disk, and the order does not matter.
If you know which Ethernet module you need, you should use it now
Modprobe
Command to load. If you don't know and don't worry too much, the installer will detect it automatically.
