Belkin today announced the launch of the Connect Pro Thunderbolt 4 docking station for Windows laptops and MacBook, as well as a separate Thunderbolt 4 cable. The docking station allows users to connect complete desktop settings to their laptops using a single cable. The dock has a very stylish and high-quality design, and the metal shell can protect most of it.

The Belkin Connect Pro comes with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one for connecting laptops and one for daisy chain connections. You can connect a Thunderbolt monitor or other peripherals that take advantage of this bandwidth to it. The docking station can provide up to 90W of power for your laptop, enough to charge most lightweight laptops at full speed.

In addition, you can get another USB Type-C port (for example, for smartphones), four USB Type-A ports (two USB 3.1s, two USB 2.0s), two HDMI 2.0ports, a SD 4.0card reader, Gigabit Ethernet and a 3.5mm combined audio Jack. This provides you with a rich port to connect to almost anything you want. On laptops that support it, you can connect up to three monitors (when you include Thunderbolt 4 downstream ports). Oddly, however, some people may be disappointed that there is no DisplayPort output.

Although the docking station includes a Thunderbolt cable to connect to your laptop, if you happen to need an additional Thunderbolt cable, Belkin also announces a separate Thunderbolt cable. If your monitor supports Thunderbolt but does not include a Thunderbolt cable, or if you just put the wrong cable, it may come in handy. As you might expect, this cable supports the full 40Gbps bandwidth of Thunderbolt 4, as well as up to 100W of power output. It also offers 1m and 2m length options, so your connection is more flexible.
