If you've been looking for ways to further improve security, you happen to be an iPhone user when managing all your online accounts, so you need to check this small security key.

It is called Yubi Key 5CI and is made by Yubico and is the world's first iPhone and iPad ready security key capable of providing "strong hardware support authentication" on lightning connections. The tiny dongle also has a USB-C connection and can be used on Mac, Windows and Android devices (but not on iPadPro).

The role of 5CI is to provide multi-factor (MFA), two-factor (2FA) and single-factor password-free authentication support for iPhone. The device will be used directly with multiple password managers and single sign-on tools, including 1 password, LastPass, DashLane, Bitwarden, IDA inti, and Okta. In addition, the gadget will work with Brave browsers to provide quick login for multiple applications, including GitHub and Twitter.

The security key is $70 and supports a variety of password-free authentication standards, including FIDO2, Web Authn, FIDOU2F, OTP (one-time password), PIV (smart card), and OpenPGP. But to use it in some applications, developers must integrate YubicoMobileSDK for iOS.

To use 5CI, simply plug it into an iPhone, Android phone or computer and click to log in to a supported app. Keys do not require a battery or Internet connection to operate and can be easily added to your keychain.
