VectorCAST supports various versions of vxWorks, including different versions of vxWorks 5.x, vxWorks 6.x, and vxWorks653. You can see the support list shown in the following figure in the VectorCAST compiler list:

VectorCAST supports unit testing and integration testing on the vxWorks simulator or target board through the VectorCAST RSP module. The whole principle is shown in the following figure:

First of all, VectorCAST parses and automatically generates driver code and pile function code on the host platform (HostEnvironment). Then, through the cross-compilation environment, the tested code, driver code, test cases and other data are cross-compiled and linked into target machine executable files, then the executable files are downloaded to the target machine or simulator (Target/Simulator) for execution. Finally, the test result data is transmitted back to the host platform in real time through Ethernet or serial port, and the test report is generated on the host.

Throughout the process, VectorCAST/RSP serves the purpose of supporting unit testing and integration testing on the vxWokrs environment, such as support for VxWorks in the process of cross-compilation links and recycling test results.
