A woman named Victoria O'Connor (Victoria O'Connor) in Iowa recently used Apple's find my iPhone feature (now part of the find my app in iOS 13) to help find cars after they were stolen. O'Connell was first exposed by KCCI des Moines and later left the iPhone in the car during a quick purchase at a local convenience store. Maybe not at that time, O'Connauer left the key in the moving car. When she came back, her car-- along with her iPhone and wallet-- was gone.

More worryingly, about three months ago, O'Connauer 's apartment was destroyed by fire. As a result, O'Connauer points out that she has basically been living outside the car for several weeks.

After the "find my iPhone" function was activated, local authorities managed to find the approximate location of the phone and then found and recovered the stolen car in a nearby apartment building. Unfortunately, O'Connauer hasn't found her iPhone, purse or other items yet. However, the police are convinced that all the above items are located somewhere in the same apartment building.

A case official said: "A thief will become a thief."so the best thing you can do is not to leave the car unattended, but to take care of something of value to you."

You would think it would be self-evident, but the story above certainly proves the opposite.

Speaking of the encounter, O'Connell said, "I think there's still a lot of work to do, but I'm happy to give the car back to me."

Police are still trying to recover O'Connauer 's personal belongings. They hope that security videos from convenience stores will help them identify criminals and find out which apartment they happen to live in.
