Since last week, Samsung's trading on Black Friday in 2019 has been in full swing, so we already know that all Samsung's recent high-end smartphones have saved us a lot of money. For example, an unlocked Samsung Galaxy Note 10 can be bought for $749.99 instead of $949.99. If you buy a qualified mobile phone, the price is as low as $409.99.

Since Note 10 costs $749.99 with no strings attached, you might think that the old Galaxy Note 9 (released in August 2018) is now cheaper. Oddly enough, this is not the case, because Samsung is asking for an unlocked version of the Note 9 for $769.99. Interestingly, this price is valid for both 128GB and 512GB versions. The discounted Note 10 even comes with free Galaxy Buds wireless headphones (usually priced at $129.99), which makes the situation even weirder. Of course, you will also receive headphones with Note 9, but the wired connection of these headphones is not as expensive as Galaxy Buds.

Some people will buy Note 9 instead of Note 10 and spend an extra 20 yuan in the process. Is there any reasonable reason? Well, maybe if someone really needs a 3.5mm audio Jack and / or microSD card slot (all on Note 9, but not on Note 10). Overall, given the current price, Galaxy Note 10 is a better choice than the old Note 9 because it is more powerful and offers almost the same screen size in a more compact body.

PS: you can buy Samsung Galaxy Note 9 from eBay for as little as $330. Even if it's not brand new, it's not locked.
