Without saying much, we began to do the experiment.

First add a device.

Because what we are adding is a routing device, we need to replace it with a switch device.

Click replace.

In this way, our switch will be replaced successfully. There are only two interfaces, but do not use these two interfaces, which are used to receive and output. If we want to connect to the PC, we need to add a workboard.

Right-click Settings.

Add a 16-port setting, click apply and then OK.

In this way, the switch has a lot of interfaces, and it is different from 1 with 0, so we need to link the interface at the beginning of 1.

Next, let's add two more (VPCS) PC virtual machines and connect them with a network cable. Pay attention to the interface.

Then run our simulation device, double-click the simulation device, and enter the setup interface. The setup interface here is similar to the DOS window of the Windows system, which requires the use of some commands. Please refer to my previous article on common commands.

First use the configure terminal command to enter global mode, and then use the no ip routing command to turn off the routing function, so that our switch is set up, and then we will assign an IP address to both analog PC with the same network segment.

The IP of the PC1 I configured is 192.168.8.8. The subnet mask is 255.255.255.0.

The PC2 is 192.168.8.10 and the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. After completion, use the ping command to check that they can connect to each other.

If you try to ping an address you don't have, it turns out to be unreachable.
