Webstorm is stronger than DW.

More powerful than DW:

1. There is considerable support for js development. I won't say anything about automatic prompts, code themes, debugging, etc., mainly support for popular technologies, such as Node.js,less,sass,jq,ext,prototype and other frameworks.

2. The plug-in support itself is mainly reflected in the fact that zencoding has been included since webstorm 2.0, and if DW is not a complete version, the installation difficulty of zencoding can be imagined. If it's the full version, you have to put up with a bunch of useless plugins.

3. Support for team development is mainly reflected in version management tools such as svn and git, which are directly available without introduction. Single file also supports local history.

4. Plug-in support, mainly in vim, can be installed directly plug-ins, there are other plug-ins waiting for you to dig.

The advantage of dw over webstorm is that dw's memory footprint is usually about 80M, while webstorm is about 300M, which is the only advantage I found in dw.

If,DW is an artist occasionally drag tables, write CSS widget, then webstorm is a necessary tool for front-end development, not only for html,CSS writing is more powerful, but also for JS, JQ and other JS framework development is perfect.

Simply put: DW is an editor and webstorm is an IDE.

Another one, DW since CS4, has no way to go, originally in recent years js development in full swing, look at these 2B in DW CS5 added those new features, think of all laugh, users are constantly growing, the market is constantly changing, and these 2B is still sleeping, cruel market such as gold years will test competitive products. Webstorm is going uphill compared to dw's self-reliance. A look at those 2B features of aptana 3.0 will excuse DW for still being like this.

Of course, if you just want to drag and drop tables and mess with css, dw cs4 is the best editor on the market. His html structure automatically identifies folding, can quickly find incomplete div,ctrl + d, jump to the defined class position, etc., is not available in other editors, in addition to zencoding, then write static pages enough!

If you want to do more than just tinker with css, but want to tinker with new things like js,less,sass, node.js, etc., and try vim in combination with traditional editors, webstorm is definitely the best choice for you. If you're a phper, I recommend phpstorm, which includes all of webstorm's features.
