1. CentOS vsftpd installation

Check in the service to see if the VSFTPD service is installed. If not, download and install:

Rpm-ivh vsftpd-2.0.5-12.el5.i386.rpm

Chkconfig-level 35 vsftpd on

III. CentOS vsftpd configuration

1 Open the / etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf file. Change anonymous_enable=YES to anonymous_enable=NO

2 Open the / etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf file. Add user_config_dir=/etc/vsftpd/virtual and set up the virtual directory. Create a file with the user name in this directory and write it to: local_root= [directory], which is the home directory when FTP connects.

3 limit users to their own directory: modify the vsftpd.conf file and uncomment:

Chroot_list_enable=YES

Chroot_list_file=/etc/vsftpd/chroot_list

Add the file chroot_list in the / etc/vsftpd/ directory and add the local user name as the FTP user.

4 solve the problem that users are unable to access the directory:

Open the terminal and enter: setsebool-P ftpd_disable_trans 1

Then restart the FTP service: service vsftpd restart

4. Permissions:

Suppose it is / var/www/html

The permission of this directory should be 770, root,group owner is ftp.

Chmod 770 / var/www/html

Chown root:ftp / var/www/html
