ThoughtsWorks (hereinafter referred to as TW), as a leader in agile development, has always attached great importance to the promotion of the concept of agile development, resulting in some interesting activities, such as the theme sharing of the young heart brought by the Agile Tour Conference in Beijing. On the other hand, it is important to explain that there is a theory in software engineering, but it is more necessary to practice.

The production process of this practice course is also very dramatic. at a software conference, when talking about agile-related topics with TW staff, university teachers talked about that although the university itself understands some theories of agile development, it lacks such a demand for practice. more importantly, colleges and universities will not pay to invite people from consulting companies to come to the school for training. Originally a simple communication and demand, but by the TW people in mind, and finally decided to provide personnel to colleges and universities to help students understand the specific work flow of agile development.

And it is not so easy to run agile time-related courses efficiently. The first point is that it needs to be made, but there are also problems here. One is whether agile development is really necessary to open courses in colleges and universities. If the second class is to be taught, which is what the students need? Here, TW invites three college teachers to their offices to experience their actual office process, and to let teachers know and provide targeted suggestions through field experience of agile development, lectures and temperature. Through the college teachers' actual experience of TW agile development, they decided to try this software engineering practice model, and the time coincided with the specific software projects done by colleges and universities before the summer vacation. After the practice course is determined, TW also needs to face many problems: a short time, a little more than two weeks; a large number of people, about 130people in a grade, etc.; and as an organization that advocates responding to change, this problem is also very easy to solve: if the time is short, then the iteration is short; if there are many people, it will be carried out in groups with less experience, provide systematic decomposition knowledge, and set up seed groups for experienced students. The whole process of software agile development has nothing to write about, nothing more than requirements planning, daily station meetings, review meetings, burnout diagrams, mood diagrams, etc., what is more important is the results of students' practice, each student who participated in the time course. In the final summary meeting, they all expressed a deeper understanding of team assistance, but also improved the discovery of how to find problems, how to improve their own experience. In the final summary, the results of the seed group composed of R & D experienced personnel were only shown in the middle reaches, and later thought that the fundamental reason was that people with work experience had a low degree of self-participation because of the consideration of work or further studies. therefore, the feelings of people in the same group are also poor, and it is also concluded that students in school are more interested in technology than methodology.
