In the process of using Office365, if users use the function of remembering passwords for a long time and occasionally need to log in with other computers, it will be a bit awkward if they can't remember their passwords. The first thing that comes to mind for end users is whether I can reset my password by myself. If not, you will want to ask the administrator to reset the password.

This article will share how to enable end users to reset their passwords by themselves.

The Office365 administrator still needs to log in to the Azure AD Administration Center.

Then select the self-service password reset service

Click configure

Then configure the SSPR name and select which users can reset the password by themselves

Click enable to enable the SSPR feature.

Since we have enabled SSPR for the selected account, this user will require improved user information (phone number, etc.) when logging in, and of course, it can also be configured in the background through the administrator.

We set it according to the requirements.

Enter the verification code for mobile phone number verification

Then continue to associate with the reserved mailbox (this email address is generally a private address of the user, such as QQ Mail, Hotmail mailbox, etc., which can still accept email if the Office365 account forgets its password. )

Finally complete the configuration, and click finish

How does the administrator set it through the background? At this time, it is still necessary for the administrator to log in to the Azure AD Management Center and select the corresponding user to edit the authentication information.

Then we use the small An account to simulate forgetting the password and reset the self-service password.

Fill in the information as required

There are two steps in authentication, namely SMS and email, and the password can be reset only if both are passed at the same time. First of all, choose the verification method of SMS. First, you need to enter the reserved phone number for the first time, and then send the CAPTCHA to my reserved phone number.

Receive the verification code and enter the verification code

Then go back to email verification.

Receive the CAPTCHA in the reserved mailbox

Enter the above verification code and verify it, and then you can set the new password.

The last reserved mailbox will also receive an email with a password reset. So far, the whole password has been modified by self-help.
