Today, let's look at the network of large companies.

For many large companies, the stability of the network will directly affect the company's revenue, such as Alibaba, Jingdong, etc. If there is a problem with the network at this time, the loss to the company will be incalculable. It can be seen that the company's network stability is important to the company. Then let me briefly talk about the network building requirements of large companies.

Now, we have some equipment here, switches sw1-sw7, routers R1-R4, PC1-PC4, and a server. How do we set them up? We use Huawei simulator to simulate the construction. See below:

The first step of the network setup was completed, so the next step was to look at the internal configuration.

1. Check whether the IP and gateway settings of the PC are correct.

PC1: ip: 192.168.10.1 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.10.254

PC2: ip: 192.168.20.1 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.20.254

PC3: ip: 192.168.10.2 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.10.254

PC4: ip: 192.168.20.2 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.20.254

server1: ip: 192.168.70.1 subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 gateway: 192.168.70.254

2. Set SW1-SW6, first add vlan10 and 20 to switch SW1-SW6.

Then, in Ethernet0/0/1 of SW1-SW4, set port mode to access respectively, and add corresponding default vlan10 or 20.

Other exchanges, ditto.

3. Set the connection ports between all switches to trunk links. That is to say, GE0/0/12, GE0/0/13, E0/0/13, GE0/0/14, E0/0/14 and E0/0/11 ports are all set to trunk mode.

4. Now go to switch SW5, SW6. Add vlan10 to ports GE0/0/1, GE0/0/2, GE0/0/3 of SW5. Add vlan20 to ports GE0/0/1, GE0/0/2, GE0/0/3 of SW6.

Same as other ports.

5. Set routers R1-R3. First, set vlan10 gateway ip on R1G0/0/0: 192.168.10.254 24

G0/0/1 Set vlan10ip: 192.168.20.251 24 //ip here for this segment Any idle ip

Set vlan20 gateway ip on R3G 0/0/1: 192.168.20.254 24

G0/0/0 Settings vlan10ip: 192.168.10.251 24

Set vlan20ip on R2G0/0/1: 192.168.20.252 24

G0/0/0 Settings vlan10ip: 192.168.10.252 24

6. Set a new network segment ip on ports GE0/0/2 of routers R1-R3 R1 GE0/0/2: ip: 192.168.30.1 24

R2GE0/0/2：ip：192.168.40.1 24

R3GE0/0/2：ip：192.168.50.1 24

7. Enter GE0/0/0 on router R1-R3, and enable vrrp protocol on GE0/0/1 port. Set virtual gateways for vlan10 and vlan20. The higher the priority number, the higher the priority.

Virtual gateway: vlan10 is 192.168.10.250

vlan20 is 192.168.20.250

Priority: R1 VLAN 10 150 vlan20 130

R2 VLAN 10 110 vlan20 110

R3 VLAN 10 130 vlan20 150

8. Enter switch SW7, add new vlan30-vlan60, and set ip one by one.

Add vlan30 to E 0/0/1 vlan30 ip 192.168.30.2 24

Add vlan40 to E 0/0/2 vlan30 ip 192.168.40.2 24

Add vlan50 to E 0/0/3 vlan30 ip 192.168.50.2 24

Add vlan60 to E 0/0/4 vlan30 ip 192.168.60.2 24

9. Set router R4 and GE0/0/1 ip: 192.168.60.1 24

GE0/0/0 IP : 192.168.70.254 24 //This is the gateway to server1

Now that the basic configuration has been completed, there is only the last step left. The final step is to have all the different segments intercommunicate with each other

There are many ways to achieve this goal: ip route, rip, or ospf. Which is better?

Of course the best option is ospf, because ip route is the default route and if you use it in large companies, you'll be exhausted.

Rip has a limited number of hops. Its maximum hop count is 16 hops.

Most companies now use OSF.

First create ospf in R1-R4, SW7 and set area 0 (0 is trunk area, other numbers are non-trunk area)

Then enter area 0 to announce the ip of different network segments of adjacent ports

This is the ospf setting announcement on R1.

Finally, verify: ping other PCs on the PC command line, server ip, ping general rule successfully.

And save (it's important to remember, otherwise you'll be miserable.)
