Unity opens the same project directory

When debugging a project project with Unity, it is sometimes necessary to open the same directory using Unity. However, Unity does not support opening the same project because the path is the same. That means we have to create a new directory and then re-use svn or git to pull the project. If there are a lot of project files, the process takes a long time.

Mklink

Since Unity doesn't support it, we need to start with the Windows system to see if we can create a new directory, but that directory is a shortcut that you can link to. There happens to be a mklink method in the bat command on the Windows system, so the problem is solved.

How?

Create a new DirLink.bat with the following code

:: Create Dir link

Set LINK_DIR=..\ HelloWorldClone

Rmdir LINK_DIR%

Mkdir LINK_DIR%

Rmdir% LINK_DIR%\ Assets

Rmdir% LINK_DIR%\ ProjectSettings

Rmdir% LINK_DIR%\ Library

Mklink / J% LINK_DIR%\ Assets Assets

Mklink / J% LINK_DIR%\ ProjectSettings ProjectSettings

Mklink / J% LINK_DIR%\ Library Library

We put the bat file in the same level directory of Assets

Double-click "DirLink.bat" to generate a HelloWorldClone folder outside the HelloWorld project

This directory is the directory linked to the HelloWorld project

Using Unity to open both directories is the same project.
