Inspection feature is an important master data in QM module, which can be said to be the basis of QM inspection business. It participates in the inspection process by reflecting in Task list (inspection task list) and / or material specification (material specification), and controls the inspection results.

Inspection feature is also called master inspection characteristics when it appears only in the form of master data, and it is generally described as "inspection feature" when it appears in inspection task list or material specification.

The key fields of this interface are explained as follows:

1), 'Quantitative Charc'/' Qualitative Charc' (quantitative / qualitative identification): one must and can only be selected to indicate whether this test feature is a quantitative test or a qualitative test.

2), 'Status' (status): only Released can be selected, otherwise creating the master data of the verification feature will be meaningless. Only the main inspection feature of released can be used in the subsequent inspection business.

3), Copy Model/Reference Characteristic: copy the pattern / reference feature as an option for the operator to identify the main inspection feature. The uses of these three options are briefly described as follows:

-Reference characteristic: if you select this option, when you use this primary inspection feature in task list or material specification, an association (reference) to this feature will first appear in task list. Of course, you can also disassociate this association in task list or material specification or change the data (for example, tolerances) separately.

-Complete copy model: if you select this option, any reference associated with this feature will be automatically canceled when you use this primary inspection feature in task list or material specification, so that you can change the relevant data immediately and can only apply this primary inspection feature as a replication mode.

-Incomplete copy model: if you select this option, when you use this primary check feature in task list, it can only be used as a replication mode. The main check feature of this option cannot be used in material specification.

4) Quantitatie Data button, this button is only valid for quantitative features (quantitative characteristics). It is used to record specific quantitative data indicators such as "unit of measurement", "upper limit value", "lower limit value", "target value" and so on.

5), Catalog button: after clicking, the display is similar to the following figure:

If the main test feature is a quantitative feature, no value can be selected for the upper half of "Assigned inspection catalogs". The reason is that the concept of a catalog itself states that it can only be a qualitative characteristics.

The options in the lower half of the image above play a direct role in inspecting the defect recording (defect record) in the business.

SPC Characteristics: clicking on it means that the main test feature will be managed by statistical process control (Statistics Process Control, or SPC), in other words, this feature is a process control variable. According to the content of the inspection and related customization, the SAP Sigma 3 system will draw a famous quality process control tool-"Shewhart mean-variance chart" (that is, "Hugh Hart 3 Sigma control chart"). The author personally thinks that this is the highest state of the implementation of SAP Randall 3 QM.

Defect Recording: if it is selected, when the measured value of the main inspection feature exceeds the upper and lower limit of its control, the result must be recorded, otherwise it cannot continue to go down.

Summary / Single recording: whether to record a comprehensive value or an individual value. For example, measure the working voltage of a chip four times, namely "0.125, 0.128, 0.127, 0.126", if it is summary recording, then the test result record can only enter 0.1265 (the arithmetic mean of the above four values); if it is single recording, the system will provide enough space for the operator to enter all four (or more) measurements. Choose one of the two.

Required/optional characteristics: used to indicate whether the main inspection feature must be entered or optional, that is, whether it is a required or optional test.

Scope: if it is related to fixed sample size detection and SPC, please select fixed sample. In most cases, to avoid restrictions, select "scopes are not fixed".

Long-term inspection: subject to the "long-term inspection" process.

Test equip. Assignment: if selected, it means that the main inspection feature is related to "measuring instrument inspection".

Record measured values: in general, of course, it is selected. How can it be documented if it is not recorded?
