The frequent decline in iPhone sales has forced Apple to transform itself into devoting more energy to software services in line with its current strategy.

Last month, Apple launched a blockbuster product, the news subscription service Apple News Plus, which now attracts more than 200,000 users 48 hours before its launch.

Apple News Plus costs $9.99 a month. Through this service, users can read articles from various publications, including more than 300 magazines. The service is free for the first month, which attracts users.

Apple News Plus already has more subscribers than Texture, a magazine app Apple acquired last year, according to a report in the New York Times on Tuesday. After launching the paid news service, Apple said it would shut down Texture on May 28.

Reports show that before the launch of Apple News Plus, some publishers were hesitant to participate in the platform. In this service, Apple gets half of its revenue. Neither the New York Times nor the Washington Post ultimately participated in the service.
