Editor to share with you the use of linux's unzip command to extract the zip file, I hope you will learn a lot after reading this article, let's discuss it together!

The unzip command is an unzipping tool for .zip format files, and the unzip command lists, tests, or extracts files from zip format archives, which are typically located on MS-DOS systems.

The default behavior (that is, no option) is to extract all files from the specified ZIP archive to the current directory (and its subdirectories below). A companion program, zip (1L), creates a ZIP archive; both programs are compatible with the archive files created for MS-DOS by PKWARE's PKZIP and PKUNZIP, but in many cases the program options or default behavior are different.

Syntax format: unzip [parameters] [file]

Common parameters:

-l displays the files contained in the compressed file-v displays detailed information when executed-c displays the results of the decompression on the screen and converts the characters appropriately-n do not overwrite the original file when decompressing-j does not deal with the original directory path in the compressed file

Reference example

Extract the mydata.zip under the / home directory into the mydatabak directory:

[root@linuxcool] # unzip mydata.zip-d mydatabak

Extract the wwwroot.zip under the / home directory directly into the / home directory:

[root@linuxcool ~] # unzip wwwroot.zip

Extract the abc12.zip, abc23.zip and abc34.zip under the / home directory into the / home directory at the same time:

[root@linuxcool ~] # unzip abc\ * .zip

Check the contents of the wwwroot.zip under the / home directory:

[root@linuxcool] # unzip-v wwwroot.zip

Verify that the wwwroot.zip under the / home directory is complete:

[root@linuxcool] # unzip-t wwwroot.zip has finished reading this article. I believe you have some understanding of unzipping zip files using linux's unzip command. Want to know more about it. Welcome to follow the industry information channel. Thank you for reading!
