In fact, the virtual human has written vCAC6.x series graphics and text documents before, but now that Update has reached vRealizeAutomation Center 6.2.1, then write another vRA 6.2.1 series. In this first part, let's talk about how to log in to vCenter through vSphere Web Client, and then Deploy OVF Template begins to deploy the vRAAppliance:

1. As shown in the following figure, select a deployment object, and you can choose either URL or Localfile. In this example, select Localfile, click Browse, select the location of vRA Virtual Appliance.ova, and then click Next shown in the following figure:

2. As shown in the following figure, the system will recognize the information related to this ova, click Next directly, and go to the next step:

3. Click the Accept shown in the following figure, and then Next to proceed to the next step:

4. Set the name of the vRA in the Name option, then select a storage point under vDC to store the virtual machine, and then click Next to proceed to the next step:

5. Choose Select virtual disk format as the way you want. I choose ThinProvision on my side. If you have vSAN, you can choose vSAN strategy in VM StoragePolicy, otherwise don't worry about it. Then select Datastore, and then Next:

6. Select the network information, including Portgroup and IP protocol messages, and then Next proceed to the next step:

7. Go to Customize template, set the relevant messages of this virtual machine, including its password, whether the SSH service is enabled, IP information, default gateway, subnet mask and other messages, and then click the Next shown below to proceed to the next step:

8. After confirming all the Ok, click Finish to complete. Then wait for the ova to be uploaded to the ESXi host, and then complete the deployment:

9. After the deployment is completed, open https://vra.vmanager.cn:5480 with a Chrome or Firefox browser, enter the user name root, and the password is the password set above, and log in to the VAMI configuration interface

10. Click System > Timezone shown in the following figure, select time zone Asia/Shanghai, and click Save Settings:

11. Click Network > Address in the following figure to confirm the relevant message Ok. If it is confirmed correctly, you do not need to make any changes:

12. Click Admin > TimeSettings, then select Use Time Server, set up time server, and configure time synchronization. Although this step is simple, it is very important. It is recommended to set 2 NTP Server, and then click Save Settings, as shown below:

13. Click vRA Settings > Host Settings and SSL Configuration options respectively, set the relevant options as shown in the following figure, and then click SaveSettings until successful:

14. Also in the vRA Settings > SSO option, enter the SSO server message. Note: if you select Identity Appliance in vCloudSuite as the SSO Source, enter the SSO Host address to keep the default 7444 for this Identity Appliance,SSO Port. If SSOSource is selected as vCenter Server 5.5 Update 1, enter the address of vCenter, but the port still defaults to 7444; if it is vCenter 6.0, set SSO Port to 443.Now, make no mistake, as shown in the following figure:

15. Still in the vRA Settings > Licensing option, enter License and click SubmitKey to complete the input of License. Note that before this step, please try to wait for Services to appear in the Services tab before doing it:

16. How to confirm that the initialization configuration of relevant services is successful? As shown in the following figure, when you see 28 Registered Services shown in the following figure, it means that the initialization is successful and the related services have been started successfully. Note that after completing the previous configuration, you need to wait about 10 minutes to confirm whether the startup is successful:

Note: during the startup of the service, if you want to view the startup status, you can go to the command line interface to view the startup message. The command is as follows:

# tail-f / var/log/vmware/vcac/catalina.out
