Statistics collected from more than 11 million enterprise users show that Windows 10 market share is growing and Windows 7 is becoming obsolete, but there are still a large number of users using the old operating system. The statistics are collected by the network security company Duo Security and the secure login / access solution provider and compiled in the company's annual trusted access report. Windows 7 usage is declining and Windows 10 is rising. according to Duo, more and more enterprise users using its solutions are working remotely. But for the company, this is not surprising, and it has been known from other reports that average employees are moving to telecommuting.

­to the surprise of Duo experts, there was a sudden decline in Windows 7 usage from 2017 to 2018. Usage fell from 65% in 2017 to just 27% in 2018 (see chart above).
