I haven't updated my blog for a long time. Today I'm going to talk about how to add nessus applications to centos or redhat.

Nessus is a very convenient security scanning tool, which has many advantages. It is small and powerful, which can satisfy the enterprise's scanning of the safe and busy side.

All right, let's start installing nessus.

Baidu encyclopedia requires the download of four necessary packages, in fact, it is completely unnecessary. At least my experiment is like this.

Go to the nessus official website, according to your system, wget the corresponding installation package can be.

1. To install the software package, use the rpm-ivh method.

2. After the installation is complete, you will be prompted to register with http://www.nessus.org/register/. And must register, because the corresponding plug-in has not been installed. Of course, if you are the latest installation package, you must also register as required, and then you will be prompted for the latest plug-in installation. In the end, however, the system will tell you that there are no plug-ins to install. Even so, you must register and scan the installation.

3. Go to the official website to find the corresponding address to register. The official website provides two aspects of registration, namely, the company and the family. Company registration requires a fee, but it is free for families. The life of the family is one and a half years, which is enough for us to use. After registration, the official website will send an email with the registration code to your mailbox, and then we will register

4. Register: / opt/nessus/bin/nessus-fetch-- just follow the space after register with your registration code, which will prompt you to register successfully or have been used

5. Start the service service nessusd start or / etc/init.d/nessusd start

After startup, the system may prompt a paragraph in English, which roughly means: many plug-ins need to be upgraded or missing, need to be registered before they can be used normally, and then a registration link is given. The way to register is to fill in the mailbox, and the system will send the mailbox to the mailbox and an activation code. Then execute / opt/nessus/bin/nessus-fetch-- registe the space followed by your registration number. And then automatically start installing the latest plug-ins or something.

6. Add the user / opt/nessus/sbin/nessus-adduser, and you will be prompted to add the corresponding password, which you have set by yourself.

7. Finally, open a browser and enter https://ip:8834 8834 as the port number of the nessus service. If you are not sure whether the service has been started after starting the service, you can check it out by ps-aux | grep nessusd

After opening the browser, enter your own user name and password to scan!
