Starting last month, Samsung began introducing Android 10-based One UI 2.0 updates to its Galaxy devices. Some users who have received the update may have noticed that the wireless sharing option is missing from the Mobile Hotspot switch menu in the Quick setup panel. It is true that Samsung removed shortcuts, but the features themselves did not disappear. The company has just buried this feature, so it's hard to find it in the latest version of One UI.

Hold down the "Mobile Hotspot" switch and click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the subsequent screen, and you can still access the Wi-Fi sharing options in One UI 2.0. Compared to the old shortcut, the new display location requires two additional clicks to enable Wi-Fi sharing. It is not clear why Samsung decided to adjust this seemingly inefficient user interface.

While many Galaxy users will encounter and may hate this change in One UI 2.0, Samsung seems to have implemented it with One UI 1.5 itself. Devices like Galaxy Note 10 and A50s that have released One UI 1.5 don't have Wi-Fi shared shortcuts even on Android Pie. Therefore, this change will only affect users who upgrade from One UI 1.0 to One UI 2.0.
