FileZilla Server is a software in the FileZilla project, which also includes FileZilla's FTP Client. The official website is http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/. You can have a look at it. By default, it is connected to the local computer, or you can enter the IP address to manage the remote FTP Server directly. It should be noted that the port number here is the connection port number set for management when FileZilla Server is installed. The administrator password entry is not required by default. This option will not take effect until the administrator password is set through FileZilla Server Interface. You must enter the correct password before you can use it.

Look at the FileZilla Server Interface program's main interface is relatively simple, in addition to menus and toolbars, is the current connection record window and the current connection to the FTP Server remote IP address window.

To explain briefly, "connect / disconnect" means to control the connection between the FileZilla Server Interface program and the FTP Server side; "lock" means that the Server side is locked and no longer allows any new connections; "settings" are comprehensive settings; "user settings" and "group settings" are the user names for login and grouping multiple users on the Server side; there is no need to explain about. "display by logical name" and "display by physical name" are literally the way the files on the Server side are displayed, showing the logical name or the physical name, but I tried and found no change, which remains to be further tested, but this function requires very little and will not have any impact on other uses; there is no need to say more about "arrangement".

Let's talk about the settings of user groups, the settings of user groups and the settings of users do not have to exist at the same time. You can only set users, but not user groups. The process of adding a group is not complicated. What is shown in the above figure is to add a MyMates group and open D disk to this group. The front "H" is represented as the root directory of FTP Server. In the options on the right, you can set the permissions of files and directories accordingly, which is super simple and needless to say.

After setting up the user group, let's add another user

The process is also very simple. I believe most friends can do it on their own. After adding a new user, you can set the user, such as password, user group, and so on, in the interface shown in the figure above.

After selecting a user group, there is no need to set an open directory separately for the user, and the user's permissions will be exactly the same as the group. If necessary, you can also open the directory separately to a single user.

It should be noted that if you open the directory separately to the user, you need to make mapping settings, because the root directory of the user is exactly the same as the user group, and you need to map the directory open to the user to the root directory, as shown in the above two figures. After opening the E disk to the user, right-click the directory name and select "Edit aliases" to map the E disk to the D disk that is already open in the user group, that is, the root directory on the server side. The name of the mapped directory is aliases, which gives the user the right to operate on the E disk. As for the problem of setting permissions, it is exactly the same as before, so I will not repeat it.
