When NTP is not used, the cluster alert log (/ u01/app/11.2.0/grid/log/dbname/alertdbname.log) has the following information

[ctssd (5969)] CRS-2410:The Cluster Time Synchronization Service on host node1 is in active mode

[ctssd (31870)] CRS-2407:The new Cluster Time Synchronization Service reference node is host node1
